Play Summaries:
Week 1 Aesop's Fables-
Ever tried to tell a classic story only to have it totally hijacked? Our first camp of summer features the legend himself, Aesop, trying his best to tell the tale of The Tortoise and the Hare but some other well-known characters crash the party. It's a fast paced, hilarious take on the lessons we all know and love.
Why your kid will love it:
- Big Characters: Perfect for kids who love to be silly and have a lot of energy.
-Ensemble fun: Everyone gets a moment to hijack the spotlight!
-Creativity Comedy: We'll be working on comedic timing and physical theatre.
Dates: June 8th-12th, 9am-12pm with a performance for family and friends on Friday night, June 12th at 6pm
Week 2 The Bashful Dragon-
Who says dragons have to be scary?!
Our week two camp is a sweet story about finding where you belong. We follow a dragon who is a little shy, a witch who just wants to fit in, and a slightly evil queen who's actually just lonely. These outcasts realize that being different is exactly what makes them special!
Why your kid will love it:
- A great fit for kids who love storytelling and character building.
-Confidence Boosting: We focus on how to feel brave on and off the stage.
-Whimsical: Sparkly dragon scales, mismatched witch hats, and spider web-crafts!
Dates: June 15th-19th, 9am-12pm with a performance for family and friends on Friday night, June 19th at 6pm
Week 3 The Better Big Bad Wolf
Order in the court! Everyone says he is "Big and Bad", but Mr. Wolf says he's innocent.
In our week three camp, the Big Bad Wolf is taking the stand and acting as his own lawyer. He's cool, he's confident, and he's determined to prove his innocence. But with witnesses like Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, and the Three Little Pigs, the trial is anything but simple. Is he a villain, or is he the victim? Our campers will decide the verdict!
- Courtroom Comedy: Perfect for kids who love to argue (we know you have a few of those!) or who have a flair for the dramatic.
-Classic Characters with a Twist: Kids get to play iconic roles like Red and Goldi, but with a funny modern edge.
-Public Speaking: A great way to build confidence and projection while pretending to be in a courtroom.
Dates: June 22nd-26th, 9am-12pm with a performance for family and friends on Friday night, June 26th at 6pm
Week 4 Fairy Tales of Mrs. Snodgrass
What happens when Snow White takes a wrong turn and ends up... down the Rabbit Hole?
Our July 13th camp is a whimsical mashup of Snow White and Alice in Wonderland! It’s a world where the Seven Dwarfs meet the Mad Hatter, and nothing is quite what it seems. If your child loves magic and a little bit of madness, this is the week for them!
Why your kid will love it:
Twisted Classics: They get to play familiar characters in totally unfamiliar situations.
Whimsical Style: We’ll be leaning into the 'Wonderland' aesthetic and creating and crafting fun props.
Creative Problem Solving: The characters have to work together to find their way home.
Dates: July 13–17, 9am-12pm, with a Performance on Friday July 17th at 6pm
Week 5 Green Frog Tale
Follow the Frog!
Our July 20th camp is an 'Into the Woods' style adventure that brings everyone’s favorites to one stage.
Join our charming (and very brave) Frog as he journeys through a magical forest. Along the way, he’ll run into a revolving door of fun: Cinderella, Goldilocks, Alice, and even Red Riding Hood!
Why your kid will love it:
The 'Star' Treatment: Every camper gets a chance to shine as a classic, recognizable character.
Fast-Paced Fun: The story moves quickly as our Frog friend meets new people at every turn.
Storybook Magic: Perfect for the kid who wants to live inside a fairy tale for a week!
Dates: July 20–24, 9am-12pm (Performance on the 24th at 6pm!)
Week 6 Tales of the Big Chicken
You know the story of Little Red Riding Hood... but you’ve never heard it told by a giant, dramatic chicken!
Our Summer Camp Finale is a hilarious, fractured retelling of the classic tale. Our narrator is a Big Chicken with a BIG personality who has his own ideas about how the story should go. It’s silly, it’s dramatic, and it’s the perfect way to end the summer with a laugh!
Why your kid will love it:
Fractured Fun: We take a story they know and flip it upside down!
Comedic acting: Great for kids who love to make people laugh.
Grand Finale Energy: A high-spirited show that’s a blast to perform for friends and family.
Dates: July 27–31, 9am-12pm (Performance on the 31st at 6pm!)
