Conservatory:

Studio

The Studio is an audition-only, after-school ensemble created for experienced 6th–12th grade performers who are ready to push past foundational theater classes. Instead of starting from scratch with a new cast for every show, Conservatory members train week after week as a resident acting company. You will dive into script analysis, character building, and advanced stagecraft, all while starring in 3 small-cast mainstage productions every year right here on the Main Street Spotlight stage. All conservatory students will also receive a 15% off discount on enrollment for any Academy performances they participate in.

Program At-A-Glance

Schedule: Mondays | 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

What Makes the Conservatory Different? Work on smaller-caliber, high-impact plays and musicals crafted specifically for tight-knit, talent-packed casts. Train alongside dedicated peers who share your drive, creating deep onstage chemistry and trust. With a hard cap of 12 performers, every student receives personal instruction and substantial roles.

Enroll to Audition: Accepted performers will receive a welcome packet and enrollment link. Tuition is $70/month. (If applying for financial aid, please submit your request prior to audition day).

Financial Aid & Tuition Assistance: We believe financial constraints should never stand between a dedicated young actor and the stage. Need-based tuition assistance is available. Please reach out to our team before auditions to apply.

Meet your instructor: Megan James

Megan’s life in the performing arts began early, stepping onto the stage at age 6 and taking up piano lessons by age 9. Her passion for theater was reignited when her own children fell in love with community production, leading her right back to active involvement in music, teaching, acting, and directing.

Beyond her extensive experience on stage and behind the scenes, Megan brings a deeply caring heart to the studio. Having served as a foster parent for years and as a youth pastor alongside her husband, creating a safe, encouraging environment for young people is central to everything she does. Megan is dedicated to helping students thrive in their artistic talents, build lasting friendships, and grow in confidence as performers. She is so excited to be a part of our Conservatory company this season and can’t wait to work with your young actors!
